Goodbye Remission
Looks like I’m officially not in Remission anymore. Got a scope on Monday, seems like I’m going to end up with a double dose of Remicade.
A blog to chronicle and archive my adventures and education about Inflammatory Bowel Disease.

Looks like Celebrex to start to help my back pain. I had a sacroiliac x-ray as well.
Just booked another doc appointment. Looks like I may be having mild serum sickness in response to the Remicade. Y’dthink after a year it wouldn’t get any worse. Either way my back is as stiff as a board since my last treatment. Fingers crossed it goes well.
Found blood again today. Its been a year of trying every drug available. I wish I could find stability.
Sweet. I’ve been on Rem for just over a year now. It doesn’t work perfect on me, but its certainly doing better than anything else has.
No fun eh. I hope things work out for you. Ask your GI about your bone density before its too late. Best to be on top of that stuff.
So it turns out my frequent and flagrant </sarcasm> use of corticosteroids has cost me some bone density. I officially have Osteopenia of my spine. (I know I said what the hell is osteopenia too). Turns out my spine density is a few points lower than an average 30 year old males should be. Greeeeeeat.
I’m halfway done my Pred, and I think the imuran is starting to work its magic. I was symptom free for a couple weeks! Unfortunately this weekend at Blueskies I had a fair amount of pain on my night shift. Luckily I was able to find someone who takes percocet and got enough to carry me through till the morning.
Either way I have my infusion this friday, so I should be back on the 100% healthy train in no time!
P.s. I havent died of Lymphoma yet… so far so good.
